My maternal grandfather was Raymond Paul McRoy, whose father was Mack W. McRoy, whose father was Henry Jackson McRoy--all from Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas.
Henry served in Company D 1st Arkansas Cavalry 1861 in the Civil War. Other McRoy names (not sure how they are related) are:
George McRoy married Elizabeth Smith 12 Nov 1847
Israel Pettigrew married Sarah McRoy 15 Oct 1847
I believe that Allen McRoy is related, but I do not know where the link would be. I obtained his name from an extracted record, submitted by:
