Scottish immigration records

Where can I search for immigration records leaving Scotland and arriving in NC? Do they exist? I found information that states that Kenneth McRae had two sons and a wife that immigrated to NC in 1774. I am looking for the names of these two sons, as I believe they are the missing link in my genealogy tree.

Also, are there birth records from that far back in Scotland? Kenneth supposedly died and that is why the boys and their mother moved. I would like to get any information I can on Kenneth. I found my information in the "History of the Clan McRae". There was nothing more on Kenneth and I would really like to get more details. Can anyone give me suggestions?

Thank you.
