My great greatgrandfathers Name is John (A?) McRae. He was born in Canada, January 1858. Immigrated to the US (new york) in 1878. married Catherine (? last name). His parents are from scotland.
He can be found in the 1900 US census. With his wife Catherine and two of his three children. William (my great grandfather) and Nettie. They are in Oswego falls village (granby) which later became Fulton New york. I believe he passed away some where between 1900 and 1906 as his wife is listed as a widow in a 1906 directory. ( I want to say before 1903 as she was listed in a directory by herself but not listed as a widow. I can not find any trace of his death(or his wifes). I have checked the library and clerks office, cemetery records in the fulton NY york area to no avail. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
