My great-great grandfather was Hyrcannus Moore of Owsley, KY. His mother was Lucinda McQueen/McQuinn and I believe she had a younger sister named Caroline b. around 1840. Their parents were Alexander McQuinn and Lavisa who were born in VA. They were in Morgan county KY for the 1850 census. There has to be a connection, Hyrcannus is a very unusual name!
