Patsy,
Thank you for the complement.I do take my research seriously, but still make silly mistakes over something obvious.
I do not have a birth location listed for John and Mildred Larson McQuigg.Jean McQuigg Browne states that they were of Scot ancestry and lived in Ireland prior to coming to America. If I had to list a location, I would bet on Scotland, but I'm still looking for more proof.
Henry K. McQuigg is buried in Plainview Cem., Plainview, TX in the Ray family block.According to the Plainview Cemetery records he is buried inBlk 17 Lot 4 Space 7"Father" inscribed on tombstone
H. K. McQuiggb. 17 June 1834 d.5 Mar 1923
Also buried there are Alice (Allie) Mae McQuigg Ray
b. 9/10/1865d. 10/16/1957and her husband Joseph Warren Ray b. 1/2/1851d. 7/13/1920
Alice was listed in 1930, April 17, living in Plainview with her niece, Jaunita Ellis, age 20.Jaunita is also listed with her parents in Roger Mills Co., OK on April 2, so Jaunita must have just been visiting at the time of enumeration.
Since our McQuigg line came to America by the mid 1750s, I doubt if any births from 1890 would be pertinent. There was one son of John and Mildred's, David, that dropped the "Mc" and went by Quigg. Some of that branch migrated from NH to Chicago. I haven't traced all of that branch out yet.
Tom
