To Linda and Josh,

I believe the book that may help you both with these questions is call "DON JUAN MCQUEEN". It has been reprinted. John fought in the Rev. War and had many land holdings in GA. His family, I believe were from S.C. He married Anne Cowper and they had at least five children. Peter is not listed as one, but may have been a grandson later on. John lost most of his property and had to flee GA. He fled to St Augustine, FL now back in Spanish hands. Leaving his family in GA to fend for themselves. His wife Anne was close friends with the Creek Chief Alexander McGillivray ( mother Creek, father Scotish nobleman)and corrosponded with him regularly. I'm in the process of reading it now....looking for any connection with a John McQueeen b.1782 and his brothers William and Donald, and sisters Betty and Sarah. Hope this helps. Book @ Barnes and Noble for about $25.00?

Do either of you know of a Justice (Justus) Ellis McQueen b. around 1900?
