I have a James Claybourn McQueen in my family tree born abt. 1847 in Alabama d. Feb 1,1923 md. Mattie McClure. My James was in Surles Crenshaw County,Alabama in 1870 & 1880. Census records indicate his father was born in NC. however name is not known at present. I'm not sure how far Crenshaw County is from Autagua County but there maybe a connection in my family file which is currently being packed up for a move there was a couple of other McQueen households near my James could be brothers.
