Seeking information on a James McQueen, believe he was born in the Stewartsville section of Richmond County (now Scotland County), North Carolina. He was a son of Col. Donald McQueen (1783 Kentyre, Scotland - 23 July 1867 Robeson County, N.C.) and Catherine McQueen (1796 Robeson County, N. C. - 23 Jan. 1862 Robeson County, N.C.).
James married a Margaret McRae and they had the following children: Mary Margaret; Daniel Murdock; Katherine; James A.; Martin A.; and Laura Bishop McQueen.
Would like to know if anyone has James McQueen's year of birth and death and also any information on his wife, Margaret McRae.
