Wigtown Churchyard

Yesterday I visited Wigtown and found the Church and burial ground.
I was taken aback when I easily found two McQueen gravestones that concern relatives of mine.

The first stone was erected by Alexander McQueen of Clauchrie , Wigtown. It was to the memory of his son William died aged 18m ( in 1863 or 1865 - not clear) , his daughter Elizabeth died in 1889 aged 22 yrs and his wife Mary Gibson died aged 59 in 1890.

The second stone was to the memory of William McQueen( born 1796), Appleby and his wife Mary Dalrymple ( Kirkchrist ).( 1802 to 1884 - died in Wigtown)

The stone was "erected by their family in New Zealand"
I believe the latter couple are parents to the Alexander Mcqueen on the first stone.

Alexander McQueen had a brother George ( of Chippermore , Port William - died Matlock Derbys.) and sisters Mary, Jane ( died unm @Chippermore)and lastly Elizabeth.

Elizabeth ( therefore cousin to the 22yr old on first stone ) married schoolmaster Allan Carswell from Neilston and they moved to Stenhousemuir , Stirlingshire.
I am descended from a daughter of hers.
Is this familiar to anyone?
