Try to find this book-EARLY SETTLERS OF REDDIES RIVER
BY PAUL GREGORY IN CONJUNTION WITH THE BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATON OF OUR NATION PUBLISHED BY WILKES GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY 1976 or any Wilkes county, NC history books. The McQueary family was there around the Shepherd and Ginnings families. They were quite active in that area. My Harvey is the son of Andrew & Lucy (Ginnings) McQueary according to his death certificate. Lucy's(from her death records at Russell co.KY) parents were supposedly Eli and Sarah(I think she was a Shepherd)If she is the same Sarah Shepherd then she & Andrew were first cousins. My Harvey married Louisa Jane Wilson.They were in Russell co. in 1850 & Pulaski co. in 1860. As I understand it, Andrew is the son of John and that John had a brother Andrew. Uncle Andrew came to KY first so be careful sorting out the two. I have the same problem on another line with 3 adult Roger's in the same township!!
