Mcpheeters Family Genealogy Forum

Hi, Thanks for you repsonse. Yes, the Murray county 1850 record is the one with my ancestors. I'll email you a file with a little more detail on my branch. Pretty much all of this branch is still in GA, most up around Rome although I'm down in the metro Atlanta area instead.
The census indexes I've looked at don't show any McPheeters in GA in 1860 or 1870 although my ancestros were listed for 1850, 1880, and 1900. I don't know if they were living in someone else's household, if they were out of state during those years, or simply missed by the census or index.
John McPheeters (born 1841 GA or Tenn) was still alive in 1900, but I haven't had time to check the 1910 census to see if he was alive then or not. His mother died between 1880 and 1900, his father probably between 1846 and 1850 (since daughter Margaret was born in June 1846 and he wasn't listed in the 1850 census record).
That's about all I know.
Angela
