Retha,
Thomas McPheeters is in my direct line. I believe he was the son of George McPheeters (b. 25 Apr 1813, Hawkins Co., TN) and Milly Armstrong (b. abt 1811, TN), but do not have direct evidence of this; this presumption is supported by at least one other long-time researcher of the line.
Below is an outline of information pulled from my FTW file.
I note that James W. Rutledge remarried after Mary Elizabeth McPheeters died, with additional children to this second union.
