Robert & Ruble's children are: Infant Girl Born 6/29/1919, Died 6/29/1919 buried Elliott Cemetery, Puxico, Stoddard, Mo---Harold A. born 2/19/1921 in Puxico-married Kathryn Mae Dixon 8/22/1942 in St Charles, Mo-Died 3/5/1999, cremated in Stuart, Martin Co, FL & ashes sprinkled in river.---Farrol Norman born 8/25/1923 in Puxico-Married Mabel Marie Kent 01/21/1945-Still living in Dupo Il---Robert Leroy-Born 11/10/1928 in Dupo, St Clair, Il-died 4/10/1930 buried in Fairview Cemetery, Puxico---Herschel Ray born 1/18/1920 in Dupo-Married Bernice Craig date unknown-divorced Bernice and married Patrica Mae Davis date unknown-died 10/20/1968 buired in Valhalla Cemetery in Belleville, St Clair, Il. The Infant girl was listed as still born. Leroy burned to death in a fire in my Grandparents wash house. There was a bottle of kerosene near a window and the sun was shining in that window-ignited the kerosene and the wash house burst into flames-Ruble's dad tried to get him out but the fire was too hot and he was badly burned during the attempt and was hospitalized. My Grandparents never mentioned Leroy- but as a child I knew his burned clothes were in a box in the attic-us kids would often go up there to play but always respected that box and never bothered it. My Grandpa was a wonderful man-just one of the best people you would ever meet-Grandma was a little sharp but loving-My Dad, Harold A. took after his Dad-My husband always has said if he had to choose any one to be like in the world he would choose my Dad. By the way, the A in my Dad's name us just that-no middle name just and A, I always thought that was a little strange since all the other children had full middle names. It is just amazing what people do and we wonder about it all later. I can take this line further if you would like. Thanks for the info on Hattie. I don't have any info on Nancy Walker other than her name but I will keep my eye out during my wanderings on the net. You just never know what you will find.
