I am looking for relatives or ancestors or anything really about Duncan McPhee 1778-1861 born apparently in Kinlochiel near Fort William in Inverness married Mary Cameron 1781-1841 It is just possible it was Mary who was from Kinlochiel , certainly the Camerons were thick on the ground in that area - perhaps both were from there. He was a crofter . Family legend has it that our roots go back to Colonsay but I have yet to find a link They had a son John and another Alexander plus several others who migrated to Canada and Australia . I have quite a bit on John's and Alexander's descendants in Australia, a group which includes myself . John begat Duncan who begat Stanley who begat Grace who begat yours truely to give it a biblical feel.I would be most grateful for any help with this .
