John Wattells (Wattell, Waddell) was a Scotsman who fought with the forces of Charles II against Cromwell at the Battle of Worcester in September 1651. He came to Boston in 1651. I am trying to determine if his family was part of a Scottish clan. I ran across one web reference suggesting that the Waddell family was a part of Clan McPhail. Can anyone verify this?
