Debbie, I just read your message and I am delighted we have the Hectors put to rest. Between birthday presents and Thanksgiving and the dinette floor tile bouncing off the floor all of a sudden, I have not had many extra minutes. You seem to be an expert genealogist and I will start looking for the home of the other Hector. My connection with McNeills is through my husband. I became enchanted by the McNeills and their nick names and their pride, and before I knew it I had a notebook of about 150 pages of North Carolina McNeills. I had placed the Hector (son of Jimmmie McCaskill)as the husband of ?Isobel Murchison. So, where do you have the Hector who married Isobel Murchison? My husband's McNeills are: Strong John McNeill (born 1756); Daniel McNeill (1778 birth); Angus Currie McNeill (1817); William Angus McN.(1858); and then my husband;'s mother, Ethel McNeill. They were always in Moore County. And, I think Strong John could have been the son of Lauchlin McN. I don't have all the names of the family of Strong John, but I think he had a son named Lauchlin. ( I'll be back to you soon. Thanx a bunch, Elvalee
