Hello Caren, I don't have any other info on the McNeill - still hoping for some information about the McKey - McKay connection back in the Carolinas that would link with McKee surname. I did note on the web site for Ames Plantation that the McNeill is prominent in Fayette Co TN even now and you might find some help there on the recorded history of McNeill surname. The county seat is Somerville in case you are not familiar with the area and you might try sending a letter to the library or their local DAR for instance for local sources. Hardeman Co TN might also have some McNeill. Have you ever exchanged information with any of the Alexander surname researchers. Seems to me they are connected with the Fayette Co early Carolina settlers also. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Good Luck. Linda McKee
