Virginia, i have an idea for your malcom jordan mcneill. I am thinking that he might be the son of hugh b. mcneill, an ancestor of pat griffin, a mcneill researcher in 1998 and 1999. i haven't heard from her lately. she had hugh b. mcneill, born 1797, married sarah patterson and had several children. hugh married c1830 in lawrence co tenn, and moved on to giles tenn by 1844. one of his sons was malcom j. mcneill. wasn't your robert lee mcneill born in giles county in 1867? i was never able to assist pat griffin, so maybe we could do that at last. by the way, the archibald mcneill and wife jennet smith you mentioned would not have been in your family. that arch and jennie are well documented, as she was the famous jennie "bahn" mcneill of the revolutionary war. elvalee swift
