Hi James,

Just started researching my McNee relative/s. My gg grandmother was Margaret GARDINER d/o Peter Gardiner and Elizabeth McNee. Margaret, single, migrated to Australia in 1856 - her father was still alive, living Glasgow. His occupation given as overseer [don't know what of :)] I think Elizabeth was deceased. Can you make any connection to these names?

Also catching my eye, Margaret's son, also Peter, was reknown as a painter though I haven't been able to track down any of his work here in Australia.
