I tried replying the other day but it appears it did not go through.
Sorry, there is no connection that I am aware of. My GG grandfather was James McNeal. His father was Ross who came over from Ireland. Ross and James are both buried in Norwich Presbyterian cemetery in Muskingum County.
James had other brothers, Malcolm, JOhn and Robert. Perhaps your line ties in with one of these.
