McNARYS BURIED AT OAKSPRING CEM., PA
Gina Nestor in Washington County, PA has provided me with a list of McNary tombstones in the Oak Spring Cemetery in Canonsburg.The McNary's began with the immigrant, James McNary, who was born in Scotland about 1711 and died in Washington County, PA in 1796 (supposedly buried at Harmon's Creek (Seceder) graveyard near Paris in Washington County.He had 4 sons:
--John (@1738-16 or 17 Mar 1802) who married Ester BOYLE;
--James who died 11 Feb 1815 and was married to Margaret PAXTON;
--Thomas (@1744-1820) who married Jennet ROBINSON; and
--David (1757-1817) who married Esther COWAN.
--A daughter, Jane, married a Mr. Robinson.
I know that all four sons ended up in Washington County, PA but I have no records of any of the families except for that of Thomas and his descendants.I've quoted Gina's listing below and then added in [ ]what I know about these folks.All info came from the McNary Genealogy. I DO NOT have any further information on the cemetery or on any of these people.
