Hi Stuart - Re your query "do you recognise any names?" I have been searching for my Gt Grandfather Joseph McNally. He was a Farmer, and if from Dublin, must have moved to the North - Co Armagh or Tyrone. His first son was named Patrick, who emigrated to England in abt1891. On a UK Census 1911 Patrick claimed he was born in Armagh. Family chat can be unreliable and over this long period distorted - Anyhow this is how it goes according to my father - his grandfather Joseph McNally was born around 1850,somewhere in or near Dublin [Blackrock was mentioned]. Joseph's father was named Patrick, but I have no name for his wife.Elizabeth is not a name in the family circle. However he said that Joseph did have a sister named Kate [she got Kitty], I would obviously like to know of any information that would give me confirmation of Joseph's birthplace/Dob, and also details of his marriage, family and so on. Kate my Father said was v popular and married a Neil/Neill/Nial Kerr[I am supposed to be named after him].They had a son Seamus Kerr who it is reputed became a v respected Dublin solicitor. Also a daughter who may have been Marie, who apparently had a job as a presenter/commentator on a Dublin/Eire radio station in the 30's era. She also married, but I do not have a name, but she had 2 children, both of whom had a disability.
If you can glean any similarities from the above with your own family line, I would be pleased to hear from you.
Regards-Neil McNally
