Flint Daily Journal, Sat. 21 Aug 1915 pg 14, Col. 7: Peter MCNALLY Dies at Farrandville, Nonagenarian follows wife to the grave within a week. Peter MCNALLY a nonagenarian resident of Farrandville died yesterday afternoon at his home. Death was thought to have been caused by his wife's death about a week ago and he had been gradually failing since that time. Mr. MCNALLY was 90 years old and was born in Castletown, Ireland. He came to this country when he was 19 years old and settled in New York State. He cameto Farrandville in 1855. He enlisted in the Civil War twice. He first joined Co. C, 14th MI Inf. in 1861 at Owosso and after finishing this term he enrolled in Co. F, of the 2nd MI Inf. in 1863 at Pine Run, MI. He was taken prisoner at Petersburg, VA. and spent one year until the end of the war. He leaves four children: Steven MCNALLY of San Francisco, Ca., Mrs. R.W. CHASE of Ithica, MI, Mrs. Daniel COLLINS and William MCNALLY of Farrandsville. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cem. Kindly provided to me by Donald SMITH
