Roger,
I'm a but confused. Are you claiming William McNall as the father of Uriah McNall?
The information that has been provided to me by a close cousin states that the McNall brothers migrated from Ireland to the U.S. in approximately August 4, 1718 settling in Worcester, Massachusetts until approx. 1727.The brothers, William and James purchased approximately 2,600 acres of land from Ebenezer Fitch to establish the town of Union, Connecticut.
I have part of the lineage on William.I show his children as:
James
Elizabeth
Arthur
Margaret
Catherine
Alexander
John (who was mentally retarded).
RE: John - The official records shows he was born "Non Compos Mentis" and lived in the family home his entire life.He died in Union in 1784.The Moores (his sister Elizabeth married Robert Moore) took charge of John when William (the father) died around 1752.
I have a little more information on William (my direct descendant) but have virtually no information on James other than he helped develop and lived in Union, Connecticut.
This information was submitted to the McNall reunion (Located in Michigan) on July 20, 1986 by Robert E. McNall.
I'm sure if you got in contact with one of the McNall Union representatives, you might be able to obtain the information you need, or at least compare notes that have been submitted to the Reunion for the last 100 years.
Let me know if you need further information.
