Hi Peggy,
I've seen this John McNabb who married Winna Adams. I do not think they are the same though. The John I am looking for was born about 1790 in North Carolina, died bet. 1860 - 1870. He married Lucinda ? born about 1795, died bet 1860 - 1870. Their children are:
John McNabb born abt 1815 in Tennessee
Alfred McNabb born abt 1824 in Tennessee
Jesse McNabb born about 1831 in Tennessee
Emanuel or Manuel McNabb born abt 1833 in Tennessee
William McNabb born about 1836 in Tennessee
Lucinda McNabb born about 1857 in Greene Tennessee (I don't believe this one is their daughter, even though the census says she is. Lucinda would have been past childbearing age. She is more than likely a granddaughter. I do not know this for sure, but it is my speculation anyway.)
So these two John McNabbs can't be the same becuase their children's ages would be overlapping. My John's William was born in 1836 and yours was in 1823. I would love to say they were one and the same, but I don't believe they are. I sure do appreciate you trying to help me! Thanks so much! If you do run across my John McNabb, please let me know.
