McMurran's in Ulster

Hello.

I'm living in Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, and I'm just starting out to retrace the family tree. I heard that McMurran was of Scottish descent ?
My father, William H McMurran was born in Ballycarry, Co. Antrim.

Basically, I would love to get in touch with McMurran's around the world, especially the ones who hold the annual family reunion north of Wasington in the US, where there is a McMurran Hall.
