Scott, This could be very important to me. None of the present relatives of my grandfather James, md. to Margaret Pierce in 1830 in Armstrong Co. know anything bout James parents. We do know James and his sister, Sarah, md. Pierces.
I have never known whether Margaret McMunn was a McKee or Pierce, but looks like she was another daughter of Saml. McKee, whom we believe md. Nancy McConnel. His father was Samuel too, and died leaving 5 minor children.and wife Margaret. We've never seen Sam Jrs. wife, Nancy's name but penciled in on a court paper; never found her on any land deed, but that's not unusual.
Saml. bought his widowed mother, Margaret
now Veasy's farm and years later, "Ann" bought it. Some think James was a step brother of the family, and his mothe died young. Saml Jrs. sisters md. Lyons,Robisons, Pierces and a Patterson.
I am troubled by the info, Margaret McMunn was born 1887 and John in 1803, the same year my James was born. That makes her 16 yrs. older than John. Your following message says Margaret McKee was born 1801; that makes sense. But which Margaret do you mean; McMunn? I think Margarets sister are Sarah, Ann, Jane, an bro James.
James & Margaret moved constantly, finally ending up in Freeport, Ill with, 10, I believe, kids.
Can you give me any input as to the parents of Margaret McMunn? Probably in Wstmorland Co.
And is the McIntyre anyone I should know about? Thanks, Donna in Ks.
