I don't know how I missed your letter in March.
Margaret (John)McMunn was writing from Clarion Co., in 1844, to "Dear Bro and sister, Ann & Jane" in Champion, Ohio. That would be Sarah McKee who md. Joseph Pierce in Armstrong Co. (Ann & Jane were not their children). I know her father was Samuel McKee of Westmorland, and I know James is bro. of Sarah, but no connect w/ Samuel can I find. Ann is shown as being there later on census. Sarah dies shortly after, and Joseph soon marries a Chambers-d/o John (from Westmr.) I think the visiting girls may be sisters of James (bro of Sarah) and Sarah McKee,
from Westmmorland
The letter was about Pierce farm business. Peter had died and another son was running it. So I've never been certain if Margaret McMunn was a McKee or a Pierce. What do you say.? This 1947 info is all I have at all about my Gr.Gr. grandfather, James, buried near Freeport, Ill. Donna
