Received your information on Clarissa Richardson and offer of additional information. I would be interested in the information you have on this family, also, what do you know about Sinclair's business life. He appeared to be a sound businessman with his general store and milling operations in Hart Co. GA. I've seen photos of his home which has been added to since he lived there by family who occupied the home. It is still in the family too.
At the present time, I'm not using a software program in my research. I'm interested and would like to know why you selected and use the Family Tree Maker. Which version do you use? People send me information on FTM which you can't run on Works or Word.
My lineage in the McMullan line is through: John McMullan - Lewis McMullan - George Washington McMullan - James Lewis McMullan - George Washington McMullan and my mother, Ruby Drucilla McMullan. Lewis and Sinclair were brothers. Sinclair and another brother, Patrick Joseph McMullan Sr.'s son - Patrick Jr. seem to be the successful McMullan's monetarily. Patrick Jr. had a 3500 acre plantation in Newton Co. MS which is still occupied by the family. The plantation was named Mount Vernon. Quiet sure it was named after George Washington's home in VA. The McMullan's admired Washington so much. This gives creditability to the story of John serving under Washington in the Revolutionary War and the tradition that he made Washington's first military uniform after taking command of the Continental Army.
It is said that the descendants of John McMullan are in all fifty states now.
Keep in touch, hopefully we can learn and share many more things about this exciting family in American History.
