Edward McMillon b. 1812/1814 Belfast/Dublin/Derry Area, IRE

Searching for any information regarding Edward McMillan (various sp?), b. 1812/1814 in Northern Ireland (It's been reported he was born in Dublin, Belfast, or around Londonderry, possibly Dungiven).

Edward served in the military in Texas before and while Texas was an independent republic. He married Ann Margaret Marjory McCuistion. He came to Texas in 1833 as a single man, supposedly by way of TN. This has not been substantiated as of yet. I know there are many other McMillans who were in TN at this time and I am hoping he was staying with family there before going to Texas. It is possible that his parents were named James and Ann, based on naming patterns of his children. Jhonce or Johnce is also an unusual name given to one of his children, so this may be a family name passed on.

Any information you can provide, even if only circumstantial or far-fetched, would be appreciated. I am desperate here.

Thanks in advance,
Tracy
