My dad is Ellis McMillan and his dad was Sidney and mother was Myrtle (Blackburn). I understand that Dad changed the spelling of his last name but do not know what the original spelling was. He was born in 1924 and had a younger brother named Sidney and two older sisters. He went in to foster care at around age 7 and did not have any contact with his family until the later 1940's early 50's.
I know that Sid went into foster care at the same time but stayed around the Logan/ Mt Gay(?) area. Dad was sent to live in various parts of the state and even in VA. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Myrtle had a brother named Andy and I think her mother or grandmother was a Lana Mills if any of that connects with someone.
