I am looking for any information on Duncan McMillan [or Mac]
who is youngest son of John McMillan & Elizabeth [McVey, McVee]. In the 1861 Census Nepean twp Carleton Co, Ontario he is with his parents there with siblings :
Christina [T. Clark],
John b. 1838 [Charlotte Brown],
William 1840 [Catherine McDonald],
Mary Jane [T.Lemoine],
Elizabth [W. Robertson].
I have been told that Duncan was given land thru Crown in Grey Co Ontario but never claimed it. Possibly deceased or moved elsewhere. I also know from my family that the McMillan's in Newmarket/Whitchurch York Co. Ont., are related. Not sure how ...? John Alfred McMillan 1858-1887 married to Joanna Caroline is related somehow in this 'mix'. I want to connect him as I know his son is a cousin of my grand dad's. Thanks for any input even if it is to correct or add to what I already know. Great if you are related!
