I am your cousin Anne. Your daddy is my first cousin. We met at his wedding to Susan. It's strange, but I just today sent him some family pictures. He has some of the info you are looking for. I know you're in Oklahoma and he was transferred to Utah, but I know he would be more than happy to give you pictures he has. Who else is he going to leave them to if not you and/or your brother?
I also gave him a quilt that Grandma (Cora Grubbs McMeans) pieced in the 1930's. It was unfinished and I had it hand quilted and gave it to him when I came to the wedding. I had four or five quilt tops that Grandma pieced, so since your daddy lost everything of his mother's when his daddy remarried, I felt he should have something of her family.
As far as the McMeans family bible, I don't know of anyone who knows who has it. I do have a written copy of what family info was in it, though, that was sent to me by cousin Marvin McMeans back in the 1970's. It doesn't go any further back than my great-great-grandfather, William Carson McMeans. Unless there is some fairly recent info, no one has ever been able to trace back farther than him.
