So, who exactly am I or are we?

McMeins, Mc Meins, McMein, Mc Mein, McMiens, Mc Miens, McMeans, Mc Means, McMeens, Mc Meens, McMains, Mc Mains, Mein, Meins, Mien, Miens, Means, Mean, Min, Minn, Main, and I'm certain the list goes on.
If we were chinese we would be Chow Mein?!

My legal birth name: McMeins. My mother stated that my father said the "s" was silent and the name was pronounced in three (3) syllables as "Mc-me-in."

My grt-grandfather William Henry McMeins is listed in the 1920 census as "Henry Meins."

His father John is listed on the same marriage certificate as "McMain, McMiens, McMean."

So, I believe myself to be the Chicago metro McMxxxx.
I'm thinking the line goes like this:

me
Garold L. McMeins - Quincy, IL
Roy McMeins, Nauvoo, IL
William H. McMeins, MaComb, IL
John McMeins, Brown County, IL
Alexander McMeins, Adams County, IL, Jefferson County, MO
James McMeins, Jefferson County, IL, Somewhere, Kentucky
Andrew McMeins, Fayette County, PA
John McMeins, Somewhere, PA
Unknown McSomething, Scotland

I Think.
I Think I Am.
Therefore I Am. (the Moody Blues)

Well Folks, that's who I might be.

Who are you?
