Captain Lawrence and Mary Ann (ROBINSON) McMANN had eight children (I have list) including Silas McMANN who is my g-grandfather. My mother was raised by Minnie (STEEVES) HAUGHTON after her mother, Hannah Mary BUCHANAN (from PEI), died at age 20. Mary Ann's parents were Winthrop and Charlotte (GEROW) ROBINSON. LDS records show the Robinsons back to 1709 (???). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to come up with Lawrence's parents. However, I do have a lot of information re. his descendants. Have you checked the book SAMPHIRE GREENS for the Steeves? I believe there are a couple of other books about them also. I'd be glad to exchange info. with you. rjhender@comcast.net
