This is taken from an e-mail conversation I had with a possible relative of mine. We were trying to get a connection between our two family's. Anyways, her side of the family has a James and Elizabeth (Bell) McManigal, which I believe was what you are looking for. Here is what I discovered from her:

So how does your branch fit in with ours? I honestly do not know! Because
there are railroad men in both branches I suspect that perhaps there might be
a connection way back there, somewhere? "Our" James McManigal, father to
Robert Moore Sr., was married to Elizabeth Bell. We have extensive Bell
family records, should you ever tie into this branch. As I remember, it is
possible that James was in the Civil War, from records I saw long ago, but
never found out what became of him after the Civil War?

If this is the same Paul and Elizabeth McManigal, send me an e-mail and I will fill you in on the rest of their descendants. I was also able to "dig up" a record concerning the biography of Frank R. McKibben, son of James and Caroline L. (McManigal) McKibben. If any of this helps you please let me know.
