Mr. Murphy,
Hello. My name is John Benson. I am the grandson of Winifred McManamon. Who is the daughter of Patrick Francis McManamon, a son of Neil McManamon.
According to Gram, she is 88 and still alive, Neil had come to America, and not liking American girls, later went back to Ireland to get an Irish girl. He met a Mary Conway, and asked her to marry him. She said ok, but not unless we can take my mother, also a Mary?, back to America with us. I understand that they went back to America about 1879 or so.
When they arrived back in PA, everyone thought that Mary's mother was his new wife, because Mary was so young.
