Cynthia, I only know of my ggrandmother's marriage in Syracuse, NY. on 4/28/1873. However her name was Kenney and his was Barrett. Their daughter, Mary Kathryn Barrett (b. 1877 in Cleveland, OH) married my grandfather, James Henry McManaman in Lincoln, NE.
I wanted to get all McManaman or -mon's or whatever variation of the name a site where we could sort though and hopefully find our family. Unfortunately I don't know of others in New York. I do know that some of them came to New York to work in the steel mills in the 1850-60 era as did my ggrandfather, Red Pat. Hopefully other Mc's will find our postings and make connections for both of us. Good Luck.
