I am related to your McMahon's through Martha McMahon who married Jonathon Shelby Hicks. Thanks for posting your information. And thanks to Shirley Harris for her original question. My info: gg grandmother: Martha McMahon b. Oct. 29, 1863 Alabama. d. Aug. 30, 1886 Madisonville, Madison, Texas. She married Jonathon Shelby Hicks Jan. 13, 1883 in Madisonville. She had two daughters, Wllie F. E. Hicks and my ggrandmother Rooney Delilah Hicks. Rooney was born April 22, 1886 in Madisonville and died June 14, 1931 in Snyder, Scurry, Texas. After Martha McMahon died in 1886, her daughter Rooney was adopted into John Daniel Hicks' family (her uncle) and his wife Martha.
