I'm not too good at e-mailing pictures, but I will ask my son to help. So, when I can get him to help, I'll send the pictures and a copy of a list of the children of Gilbert and Mary hand written by my wife's gggrandfather Edward Francis McMahon. I'll also try to send a very bad photocopy of John Thomas' baptism info, sent to us by St. Patrick's Church in Norwich. I'll also send a photo of Gilbert' tomb stone. There is none for Mary.
I found a book,"The 19th Conn. Volunteers Aterward the 2nd Conn. Vol. Artillery",by Theodore Vaill(1868). On pg.268 - it shows Gilbert's info which you have on Ancestry.com. On pg 214 it states he received a leg wound at Opequan Creek, Winchester,Virginia, Sept 19,1984. Co B suffered 42 killed and 108 wounded in the battle.
Does your info have any other info on Gilbert or Mary? Do you have any pictures of aunts and uncles, especially Edward Francis? Can I email you?
I'll get back to you.Tom
