Cheryl,
There were at least 3 McMahon families that migrated from Newmarket, Cork to Peterborough, Ontario during the 1800s. Two of these were brothers, Mathew (my gg-grandfather) and Timothy. The third was Denis, possibly an uncle of Mathew and Timothy, but if not, likely related somehow.
I would very much like to receive any information that you have about your ancestors in Peterborough. I have put together a report on the 3 McMahon families I mentioned. It's quite large, over 5MB, so it will take quite a while to download. Let me know if you (or anyone else) would like the URL.
