Per the notes I have that were given to me by my grandmother:
Henry McMahon was born in December 1829 in County Monoghan, Dunnine(?), Ireland and he died in December 1896 in Cannelton. He married Mary Wilson who was born on February 18, 1841 and died on April 27, 1898.
They had:
George McMahon who was born on 21 May 1877 in Cannelton. He married Rose Frantz on 14 September 1898.They were married by Rev. A.B. Ebinger, pastor of St. John's Evangelical Church at the home of Rose's parents, John and Marie (Scheidt) Franz.Rose was born on August 6, 1880 in Cannelton and she had 5 brothers and 2 sisters but, I don't have any information on them.George and Rose had 2 sons, Clarence W. (Mickey) and Wilbur. Both George and Rose were still living as of August 21, 1962.I have a newspaper article about George and Rose and my grandmother very clearly has written "my mother's brother" across it.My grandmother's mother was Catherine McMahon and she was born on January 18, 1856 in Cannelton and is noted as being the daughter of "Henry McMahon, an early settler of Cannelton".I also, have a note I wrote that she is the daughter of Henry McMahon from County Clare Ireland and Briget Cummiskey.I know that Catherine had a sister named Nell and her married name was Scheidegger.I believe she was married to a Nick Scheidegger.Catherine married about 1878 to John Radigan. After his death, she married Walter Divens.Catherine and Walter Divens are the parents of my grandmother, Mary Briget (Divens)East.
Henry E. McMahon who was born on June 3, 1879.He married Ida Casper on June 5, 1906 at St. Michael's Church in Cannelton. They had a daughter named Ella Mae.Ella Mae was born 10 July 1907 and she was baptized at St. Michael's on July 21, 1907.
James William McMahon was born on August 7,18?? and he fell while engines were being switched (he was a brakeman)and was killed
March 23, 18?? - it was right before his 23rd birthday. His mother and one, Elmer Clark were witnesses to the incident.
I hope this information is helpful and I would love to have any additional information you may have to share.
Thanks!
