As you say it's not going to help anyone looking for McLuckie on this site.I do not think it has anything to do with the surname Crow. Hugh MacDonald's Rambles Round Glasgow 1854, chapter on Duntocher and Old Kilpatrick, refers to it at length as the Craw Road, 'craw' just being a scots variant of Crow, but he points out that it passes through the 17th century estate of the Crawfurd family, rather notorious for their raids and feuds. It could originally have been Crawfurd's Road?Of course the name was immortalised in recent times in Ian Rankin's televised best seller of that name. Alternatively it just means a lane in open country where crows are seen.
