Hello. I'd like to post separately that I'm interested in the McLOUGHLIN or McLAUGHLIN families in London, England, in the 1800's.

My husband's grandmother was born Annie Mary Magdalene McLAUGHLIN or McLOUGHLIN ~1890, probably in London, England. I'm told there were 2 Anna or Annie McLAUGHLIN's or McLOUGHLIN's born in London in the 1887 to 1890 timeframe:

The 1891 census for London showed:
John McLOUGHLIN born in Ireland, and he was a seaman and he was aborn in Ireland. His wife was Mary and they had 3 young children, including an Annie, 4. This was probably the Anna, b~1887 in London.

The 1881 census for London showed:
Another John James McLOUGHLIN who was born in Scotland. He and Jessie McLOUGHLIN had 2 young daughters, Eleanor and Catherine.

This was the possible family as the 1891 census showed 4 orphaned sisters, Catherine, Louisa, Sophia, and Annie McLOUGHLIN living in the "Convent of the Sacred Heart" in London, England. That John had died in London in 1890.

This Mrs. Jessie (WAGNER) McLOUGHLIN, a widow, remarried to Samuel LUSCOMBE in London in 1899. The extended family, including her daughters, is in London in the 1901 census.

Annie McLOUGHLIN arrived in the US in ~1908 at Age ~18, and we don't know whether she came alone, or with family members. And, I can't find her in the 1910 census.

She married in Waltham, MA, US ~1910-1911 to James GAVIN. His parents had been born in 1860 in County Galway, Ireland, and came to the US in 1880's. Their large family lived in Waltham.

Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA)
