PATRICK McLACHLAN 1846, Ire>Glasgow>Philadelphia

I have a family that emigrated to Philadelphia some time before 1895 from Glasgow. Patrick McLachlan (spelling will vary of course), born Sligo, Ireland about 1846, wife Mary Unknown of Ireland, born about 1848, and at least children Ann, about 1864 and Michael, about 1870...but probably more kids.

Patrick's family had emigrated from Sligo to Glasgow...likely some time between 1860 and 1870.

Patrick and his wife and children were at 1853 Rosewood Street in Philadelphia in 1895...according to the poor relief records in Glasgow, regarding Patrick's father Michael.

No record of this McLachlan family is evident in my searches thru' various sources, other than a couple of early references in the voter polls in Philly, in the early 1890's. Nothing after that...at least nothing that I can pin it down to being this family.

Much of the family remaining in Glasgow is also a mystery. There were several siblings of Patrick, including Mary, Catherine, Bartholemew and Thomas that cannot be accounted for after the 1890's.

I CAN account for sister Ann as she married James Hughes. They were my great grandparents. Another sister Lizzie married Andrew Foy, and they emigrated to Chicago around 1880. I have some info' on them...but it dries up also.

C'mon...must be someone related to some of these folk!! 'fess up...you're out there! Don't be shy! No inheritance, but a warm fuzzy feeling may await! :) :)
