Rebecca Held "Becky" McLoughlin
Rebecca Held "Becky" McLoughlin of Palatine The visitation for Rebecca Held "Becky" McLoughlin, 86, will be from 12 noon until the time of funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Interment will be private. Born March 1, 1922, in Morristown, Ind., she died Friday, March 14, 2008. Becky graduated from Indiana University and then went on to earn her master's degree from Columbia University in New York City. She taught business and secretarial skills at Harper College from 1968 until her retirement in 1982. Survivors include her husband, Quin McLoughlin; daughter, Cynthia McLoughlin; son, Bruce McLoughlin; sisters, Jean (the late Keith) Shelton, Patricia (the late William) Hardin and Marcia Wells; and her brother, Robert Held. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey McLoughlin; siblings, Margery Grimes, John Lowell Held, Barbara Hardin and Thomas Held; and her parents, John and Gladys Held.
