I know this was not addressed to me...but here is what *I* have that connects Micajah "Mitchell" Mackleroy to Avington and Sarah Dawson.
He participated in the Georgia Land Lottery in 1806 in Oglethorpe Co., GA.
" Capt. Hitchcock's District, Mitchell and Betsy Muckleroy, orphans of Avington Muckleroy deceased, 1 draw. "
He owned Negroes, stock & household furniture due from his mother's estate sold to Isaac Muckleroy on April 6, 1822 in Oglethorpe Co., GA.
" Know all men by these presents that wherein Sarah McElroy of said county of Oglethorpe and State of Georgia is in possession of certain property to a considerable amount (viz) Negores stock and household furnature to which, I Macajah MclRoy am entitled at the death of said Sarah Mclroy or sooner if her, the said Sarah thinks proper to one fifth part of said property know ye that I Macajah MclRoy of the County of Perry and State of Alabama for and inconsideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to me in hand paid by Isaac MclRoy of the county of Franklin and State of Tennessee the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Isaac MclRoy his heirs and assigns for ever all and every part of my right to the and claim to the above described property and every part thereof and further I the said Macajah MclRoy do hereby warrant and will for my self, my heirs Executors and Administrator for ever defend to Isaac MclRoy his heirs and assigns for ever the above described property free from the just claim or demand of any person or persons whatever in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 6th day of April Ano Domini 1822
