I AM LOOKING FOR DESCENDANTS OF THE FOLLOWING IN THE USA ??
Hector Macleod, born Kershader, Lochs in 1846 ,son of A.XVIIa, Hector Macleod and Flora Campbell . Hector died 10:55 pm 6th March 1899 aged 53 years at 8 Claremont Street , Glasgow of Cancer of the neck, he is mentioned in the 1871 Census as 24 yrs.old and fisherman, he later on became a Police Constable , married 26 may 1881 at 8 Claremont Street, Glasgow Jessie McRae , born Govarn, Invernessshire in 1844 , widow of James McFarquhar ,born Evantown , Rossshire in 1819, Saw miller, who died probably between 19871 and 1881 Jessie McRae was the dau.of Murdo McRae , farmer and Catherine McLennon . According to the 1881 census James McFarquhar had the following children from his first wife Jane N.N. and from Jessie McRae: Jane , Murchoch (born in 1862,Inverness, Spirit Arade Shopman in 1901, married Annie N.N.), Alexander (born in 1864, moved possibly to Aberdeen), Jemima (born in 1869) , Jessie (born Pollockshaws, Renfrewshire in 1871, she married Daniel Rose Manson from Wick, he was a Mercantile Clerk), and Helena Ann McFarquhar (born in 1877) .In 1891Hector and Jessie lived at Glasgow St.Vincent,Lanarkshire. According to the 1901 census Jessie and her children lived at 23 Dowanhill Street,Glasgow,Govan,Lanarkshire.
