I've got an ancestor, Kenneth McLennan, who was born March 1828 in Inverness, Scotland. I don't know how long the family stayed there as he was in Ross & Cromarty by his marriage date. His father was Finlay and mother, Catherine McDonald and brother, Alexander and sisters, Mary and Christina.
Unfortunately, being in the U.S. I have never been able to do original research and most of my information comes from a Donald McLennan who sent me most of this information. I just thought I'd pass it along in hopes it struck a cord. I don't think I'll ever be able to find anything else unless I hit it extremely lucky.
