I'm sure there are hundreds of John McLennans. However, this one was born in 1851 in Telfair County, Georgia (Lumber City) and died either in 1889 or 1890 in Vernon, Texas. He married Elizabeth Hood and their children were Daniel Shelton McLennan, David Charles McLennan, John McLennan, and Lilla McLennan. Both of the Johns have the middle name of "Creech" which is a family name.
